Rita Munoz Johnson, 89, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond W. Johnson and her parents Natividad and Tomasita Munoz. She was retired from the G.S.A in Washington D.C. with faithful service of over 30 years. She was a life long member of the Ladies of the Nile, loved to travel, to bowl, and to golf. She is survived by her son Vicente O. (Ofelia) Torres and her grandson Vicente “Vinnie” Torres Jr of Corpus Christi; her sisters Anita Solis of Corpus Christi and Paula Munoz of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass and rosary will be celebrated at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church at 10am, Friday, December 5, 2008 with interment in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas at a later date. The family extends a special thanks to Christus Spohn Hospice and its nurses, staff, and volunteers. |
